SUMMARY:Plein-Air Challenge
DESCRIPTION:All Spots Filled • Cash Prizes for 1st – 3rd  • Cost to participate: $40\n(Includes admission into the gardens\, lunch and participation in competition)  \nImportant Information:   \n\n    Artists must provide their own supplies and plain canvas/substrate \n    12”x16” Maximum size canvas/substrate \n    Open to Oil\, Acrylic\, Pastels\, Watercolors \n    All Canvases must be stamped by a Cox Arboretum representative before starting  (Stamping starts at 9 a.m.) \n  Competition Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (15 min. grace time on turn-in) \n    No artist allowed to set up inside garden protected structures \n    Jurying will be done by select Garden Club Representatives \n    Final work will be on display and eligible for sale if artist desires      \n Artists are invited to join at a designated area for a box lunch while jurying takes place. \nFinalists will be announced and prizes awarded at 2 p.m. \nCompetition open to all level of artists \nArtists must allow the rights of their creation to be used by Cox Arboretum for possible future promotional material. Artist maintains ownership and copyrights. \n\nWe have three judges in our jury for the event. They are: A water gardens and arboretum developer\, a worldwide water lily and lotus gardener/distributor\, and a personal gardener and arboretum enthusiast.
